Three things I'm loving this week:
1. Taaz.com. Give yourself a virtual makeover at this fun site. Just upload a digital photo of yourself...spend a little time adjusting it (it's very easy..they walk you through it all) and you can try out all kinds of different makeup and hairstyles — you can even see how the hairstyles would look with highlights or lowlights.

2. White cheddar rice cakes. I love these because they are a 50-calorie crunchy snack. Does it taste like your favorite chips? Definitely not, but...they're a healthy grab-and-go snack choice.

3. Target's kid's jeans. I have a hard time buying jeans for my daughters...they are always too stiff and hard and they fall down. The girls are forever showing crack. So much so that my husband and I joke about putting temporary tattoo "tramp stamps" back there (someday we might...just for fun...imagine the reaction of the PTO moms). I finally found jeans that actually fit them fairly well at Target. Not the expensive, fancy, sparkly jeans, but the plain old Circo $9.99 jeans. The nice thing is that they come with the adjustable waist AND are even available in "slim" and "plus" sizes.

Things I'm not loving this week:
1. Shoe sizing. I guess it was inevitable that shoe sizes would go the way of all women's clothing and become completely unreliable. Or, perhaps I just have freak-show feet. All I know is that I bought the same style of shoes from the same store in two different colors. One color fits, the other doesn't. I actually had to go back and get a 6 1/2 in the black pumps I bought -- brown fit fine. The funny thing is...I wear a size 8 1/2 running shoe. Two whole sizes I can range. Go figure.

2. Sassy Kindergarten kids. Last night was the fourth night in a row that my 5-year-old went to bed without a snack or a story. Tonight may be the fifth night. We're in a showdown with our little gunslinger. Her weapon of choice? Her sassy mouth. She's not going to win this battle, but...I'll give her credit for going down shooting and refusing to give up the fight. My husband says she's just like me. I'm not sure that's a compliment.
3. Frost. And, so it begins. (sigh)
