My nephew was being baptized Sunday so it meant all four of us had to get up, dressed and out of the house and to church by 9 a.m. No small feat. So, Dan got up early to get his run in and I figured I'd run later in the day.
I called my mom at 7:30 to tell her that I didn't have her camera (she thought she'd left it at my house). I found it odd that she sounded sleepy. Then she said..."um...you know it's 6:30, right?"
"Huh?"
"It's daylight savings time...we fell back an hour...it's 6:30."
"Are you SURE? huh...OK, well, then, I guess i have time to run...sorry for the wake-up call!"
This morning, alarm rings at 5:15 a.m. I groan and roll out of bed.
My husband says, "What time do you have on your clock? I said...it's 5:15."
He says, "No, you forgot to set your clock back. It's 4:15."
I said, "Oh, my God...that is so awesome" and crawled back under the covers for my bonus hour.
So, I got two days of benefit out of one extra hour. Not a bad deal.
