Three things I'm loving this week:
1. America. When push comes to shove, this country always does the right thing. It's who we are and it's what we stand for (and won't stand for).
2. Oral B Advantage Floss Picks. Forget struggling with that stringy floss and pick up a bag of picks. I love these things, but then...I eat salad with spinach for lunch almost every day, so flossing is about sparing myself embarrassment as much as it is about oral hygiene. You can a bag of them for about $3.50. There was even a coupon in last Sunday's Erie Times-News for them.

3. Morning light. I know it won't last, so I make a point to appreciate it while it's here.
Three things I'm not loving this week:
1. Birthday parties. Fun for kids and their elementary school friends. Expensive for moms. All those gifts can add up — especially when you have three parties in one weekend. I'm not really complaining though...the girls love the parties and I love that they have a little social life.
2. My winter wardrobe. I forgot that I have nothing to wear in winter...until I opened my bins of winter clothes and found one full of shoes, one full of tights and fleece jammy pants and one full of sweaters that I don't like. Great. Guess where I'll be spending my Veteran's Day? Here's hoping I can find some petite clothes (for shorties like me) that isn't pastel with sequins, rhinestones and an elastic waist.
3. Buying the same music again & again. I own REO Speedwagon's "Hi Infidelity" and "You Can Tune a Piano, Buy You Can't Tuna Fish" on vinyl and cassette. Last weekend, I bought the same songs once again — digitally — to load them on my iPod. These are just two of many classic albums that I've bought several times in several formats. Here's hoping digital is the end of it, but I seriously doubt it is.
