Three things - 12/4/08

Three things I'm loving this week:

1. Dried cranberries. I assumed these were a pricey salad topper, but happened to notice a bag of them on the shelf near the raisins last week and they were only a couple of bucks. They add some life and flavor to green salads.

2.Gasoline prices. We can't complain about $2-a-gallon gas. Merry Christmas to us.

3. My laptop. I love being able to sit on my couch and shop online. I love being able to look up movie times from my kitchen table. I love my new wireless life. I can't wait until summer when I can surf poolside.

Three things I'm not loving this week:

1. Three days of NOT running -- thanks to uber-sore inner thigh muscles from one itty bitty little exercise class on Monday night. It hurts to sit. It hurts to walk. It hurts to lift my legs. It hurts to bend over. It just hurts.

2. Waste Managment. Another garbage bill, another increase. Fuel surcharge went up. Funny...gas prices have gone way down so why is my fuel surcharge continuing to rise every three months (and will it ever go away...like say now that the gas prices are 1/2 of what they were before)?

3. Christmas specials on network TV at 8 p.m. Don't get me wrong...I love them, but couldn't they air them at 7 p.m.? Three nights of kids staying up past bedtime is making for some ugly, crabby-girl mornings.

Trust me when I say that laptopping outside sounds like a great idea... until you actually try it... Then you realize how utterly impossible it truly is.
