Bite-size literature

If, like me, you always wanted to find time to read the classics, but, unlike me, just can't give up your 10 p.m. TV time (see my resolution below), there's a Web site that offers a cool compromise.

You can have daily, bite-size chunks of a classic novel delivered to your inbox for free at www.dailylit.com. There is a small fee for some books, but most of the classics are free.

The nice thing is you can choose how much and how often to receive the mailings. Even better, you can skip the emails altogether and subscribe to the book as an RSS feed and read it using your favorite online reader (I use Google's free reader).

So, there you go...why not resolve to spend your lunch hour reading "Anna Karenina" instead of cybershopping for shoes?
