'Hogward bound

Operation Groundhog is ready for launch.

Miles to go: 149.
Weather: Sloppy.

Besides all of the boring items I packed for my trip (pens, notebooks, boots, laptop, maps, hat with ear flaps), I tossed in a bag of Jim and Nancy’s Groundhog Chow and a packet of ’hog carols – both provided by Jim Tometsko.

For the curious, the chow is much like Chex Mix with ranch seasoning. I’m sure it will come in handy when I need a pick-me-up at 2 a.m.

Despite the cruddy weather, I’m sure Punxsy will be in full swing when we arrive in a few hours.

So, let’s hit the road. Phil, here we come!
