Before Kids ...

Today I received some info from a Pittsburgh-based company called Before Kids... The company takes a humorous look at life before and after kids. I think all kinds of parents would get a kick out of the products, because they are relatable. The company puts the sayings on T-shirts, coffee mugs, aprons and notepaper. Some of the sayings include:
Before Kids ... whine was a beverage.
Before Kids ... I thought I was busy.
Before Kids ... three in bed was risque.
You can check out the company at www.beforekids.com.

Life is entirely different before and after kids, but I don't think any caring parent will tell you it's different in a bad way. It's just different.

But in the interests of staying on the same vein as the Before Kids people, I'll have my own list. Feel free to share your list of things Before Kids, too.

Before Autumn, I could sleep in on weekends...
... I took time to enjoy a meal instead of shoveling in my food as fast as I could.
... I'd be willing to wait 40 minutes for a table at a restaurant.
... I didn't have an excuse when I arrived late.
... We could go out to dinner with friends and all sit at the same table (now they all have kids, too, and instead of just six adults, we have 10 people)
... I never, ever, ever cleaned up vomit.
... Such a thing as a last-minute trip could exist.
... I decided how my day would go.
... I knew what it was like to leave my house after 8 p.m.
