Yesterday morning Autumn wore her rain boots to school. Since they just slide on, she can put them on herself. And she does, but not always on the correct feet. So yesterday she walked around the house with one boot on the right foot and cried when I took it off just to put socks on her feet.
I decided boots are not worth fighting over, so she wore them yesterday morning. Eventually she was ready to change to sneakers. She just wanted to do it on her own time.
This morning Autumn insisted on wearing a pink, short-sleeved T-shirt. No matter what else her Daddy asked her about, she turned down and eventually started to cry. He managed to get a white, long-sleeve shirt on underneath (and she cried while that was put on, because it wasn't her pink T-shirt), but then was quite happy to have the T-shirt she picked out on over top.
I thought we might have a little longer before she started saying what she would wear. I'm still having fun shopping for her little clothes and picking out things for her to put on. Her Daddy seems to enjoy this, too.
But if she starts insisting on wearing a pink T-shirt each morning, it seems our days of dressing our little girl are numbered.
