Ah, the fix is back. NFL training camps open this weekend, and to diehard fans this stuff is better than anything your doctor can prescribe. (Well, except maybe Viagara.)
In that vein, I racked my post-vacation brain for several minutes and came up with a few key questions that need to be answered by the Bills, Browns and Steelers as practices unfold over the the next month or so.
Let's start with the Bills.
Bills
1. Will left tackle Jason Peters' holdout become a distraction? Everything went wrong for the Bills last year, and they can't afford for a young team to become caught up in the drama surrounding their best offensive lineman's contract impasse with the front office. On the flip side, Peters is the Bills' third-highest paid lineman and only Pro Bowl selection.
2. Will rookie receiver James Hardy take the heat off of Lee Evans? Evans still appears to be a number-one receiver despite terribly inconsistent play the past two seasons. Like Peters, he wants to be paid, and Hardy, a big, fast target, could help him rake in the cash by drawing double teams away from his side.
3. Will linebacker Paul Posluszny's return spark the defense? Poz, the former Penn State star, was an animal during the preseason before going down with a broken arm in Week 3. Now, playing behind Marcus Stoud, Posluszny could help quickly improve a young talented defense that will probably have to help the Bills win until the offense funds its rhythm.
We'll look at the Browns on Sunday and the Steelers on Monday.
