Steelers 14, Browns 0
Notes:
-- No press box update yet on injured Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, who left on a cart after being hit by D'Qwell Jackson and Willie McGinest. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin will plenty of questions after the game about his decision to start Roethlisberger and allow him to play beyond a cursory appearance, especially on the same day that Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy sat Peyton Manning in favor of Jim Sorgi, and Tennessee rested Kerry Collins and played Vince Young.
-- Backup QB Byron Leftwich managed to make Roethlisberger look both graceful and fast on his weaving 8-yard touchdown run just before halftime.
-- One big question surrounding Willie Parker's injuries has been how it appears to have affected his speed. But Parker looked as fast as ever in taking a pitch 34 yards around the right side for a touchdown. He ran past diving Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson and outran the pursuit.
-- Tomlin didn't challenge after Troy Polamalu knocked the ball out of Browns tight end Martin Rucker's hands and Anthony Smith ran it back to the end zone. The back judge ruled the pass incomplete. Replays were inconclusive, although it appeared Rucker had possession and took one or two steps before Polamalu took a whack at the ball.
-- After a couple of decent early drives the Browns' offense has bogged down. Their first two possessions of the second quarter produced 18 yards and minus nine yards. Bruce Gradkowski had one completion for one yard on those possessions.
