The latest in the Plaxico Burress-shoots-off-a-piece-of-his-leg story offers additional details about what took place at the hospital that night, including the revelation that Giants trainer Ronnie Barnes asked for by name and was led to Burress in the emergency room despite the fact that Burress registered under an alias; that the doctor who originally saw Burress has been suspended for failing to immediately report a gunshot wound to police; and that Burress' teammate, linebacker Antonio Pierce, stuffed Burress' gun into the glove compartment of his Escalade and drove to Jersey.

To which I can only respond: Is this the NFL or the script for an upcoming "Friday Night Lights" episode guest-starring James Gandolfini?
