Steelhead report Oct. 7

Get the Lake Erie tributaries steelhead fishing report daily in the Erie Times-News.

The report for Oct. 7:

After getting plenty of rain a week ago, most of the Lake Erie tributaries were low and clear Monday because of the area's dry spell since.

There are plenty of fish in Elk Creek, but the fishing was slow and few steelhead were being caught.

Anglers have been facing a challenge to land steelhead. The fish should become more active after in rains and the water levels rise.
