Times-News steelhead report Nov. 6

A report from FishUSA, 901 W. 12th St., 16501, 459-7800, sales@fishusa.com:

Lake Erie tributaries are mostly low and clear but have a large number of fish.

Until the next rain storm, anglers could try fishing for steelhead in Presque Isle Bay. Steelhead can be caught virtually from one end of the bay to the other. They are being caught off the North Pier and South Pier with regular bait presentations and a variety of spoons.

Anglers also are catching steelhead in Lake Erie outside of the bay, including the Lampe area and the East Avenue ramp. Boaters are trolling for steelhead, using Little Cleos and Thundersticks.
