Otters' Polodna heads home

Erie Otters winger Stanislav Polodna, 18, returned home to his native Czech Republic on Wednesday, a week after announcing he would begin his professional career with HC Ceske Budejovice in the Czech 2nd League. The Otters selected Polodna 12th overall in the 2006 CHL Import Draft. He had 10 goals and 31 points in 63 games as a rookie last season. But he has no goals and four points in 18 games this season since returning from a shoulder injury.
