Otters’ Sertic returns, Clarkson still out

Erie Otters defenseman Robyn Sertic returned to practice Monday after missing the past two games with what he called bumps and bruises. He declined to specify the nature of his injury. Sertic expects to play in this weekend’s home games against Brampton and Saginaw.
Meanwhile, right wing Doug Clarkson remains out with a nagging right knee injury. He still awaits test results to determine the extent of his injury. But he hopes to resume skating later this week.
Clarkson originally bruised the knee in December while playing with Kitchener. But he only missed two games. But during the Otters’ game against Windsor on Jan. 18, his first home game with the club, “I fell on (my knee) twice,” he said. Clarkson didn’t travel with the club for last weekend’s road trip.
