UPDATE: Janus, Slovakia make late run, fall short vs. Russia

With Erie Otters goaltender Jaroslav Janus on the bench for an extra attacker, Tomas Tatar scored with 2 minutes, 59 seconds left to pull Slovakia within 4-2. But Russia's Dmitri Kugryshev scored into an empty net with 1:53 left to regain a three-goal lead and secure a 5-2 win in the bronze medal game. Janus and Slovakia, which upset the United States in the quarterfinals on Saturday to reach the medal round, settled for fourth - their best finish since earning bronze in 1999.
