TRADE NEWS: Former Otter Peluso dealt to Battalion

Sault Ste. Marie traded winger Anthony Peluso, a former Erie Otter, to Brampton before today's OHL trade deadline at noon. Peluso heads to the Battalion in exchange for center Kyle DeCoste and a fifth-round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. Peluso played two-plus seasons for the Otters from 2005-08, totaling 15 goals, 24 points and 283 penalty minutes in 141 games.
Position changes, between wing and defense), and a major knee injury hampered the former first-round pick's career. He had nine goals, 15 points and 68 penalty minutes in 36 games with the Greyhounds this season.
Speaking of the Battalion, they have been the busiest team today. They acquired goaltender Thomas McCollum from Guelph for left wing Josh Shalla, X Brandon Foote and second-round picks in 2010 and 2011. Meanwhile, Belleville acquired the rights to Ryan Carlisle from Windsor for a 2009 sixth-round pick.
