I received an end-of-summer sale flyer from National Running Center yesterday and they're have some great sales -- including running shorts and t-shirts for $9.99. In fact, the shirt I'm wearing the photo at the top of this blog is one of the sale items (though I bought it two years ago for twice that, I think).
I poked around the site a bit last night and they seem to have a good selection of sale stuff (unlike some stores that advertise big bargains, but they're all size small and neon green). It may be worth your while to stock up now -- afterall, you'll still need shorts when you're sweating it out on a treadmill during a raging snowstorm this winter.
Their web site is: www.nationalrunningcenter.com
I assure you that once you try the moisture-wicking, breatheable-fabric of real running clothes, you'll never go back to working out in heavy, sweat-soaked cotton t-shirt or shorts.
I, personally, have several of the "Best of Times" items that are on clearance -- shorts, tanks, t-shirts, bras -- and they have held up to the test of time. I've been wearing most of my running stuff for 4 years or more now and it's held up to lots of long runs and weekly washing.
And, for any of you newbies who have been following the Her Times training program and are taking your first steps to fitness -- you deserve to reward yourself!
Happy shopping!
