Fun with junk mail

Do you get umpteen credit card offers in the mail every day? I get at least three every single day. I carefully tear them up or shred them. I've signed up with the marketing association to stop the junk mail and I've even called banks and requested they stop sending me stuff (Capital One used to send me an application every other day, I swear).

But, every time you open a new credit card or take out a loan -- you're back on the list and the credit offers come pouring in.

A friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, told me something hilarious that her husband does to get a little revenge on the credit card application onslaught.

He opens them all and puts the blank Citibank application in the Capital One no-postage-necessary envleope and the blank Capital One application in the no-postage-necessary Citibank envelope and mails them back. He does this with all the credit card offers and postage-paid envelopes because the bank must, of course, pay the postage.

Ah...now that's how to have a little fun with your junk mail.
