I was recently googling for information on Morton's Toe (which I am cursed to have) and stumbled over this cool site that helps you identify your foot pain and give you solutions to remedy the situation.
For runners, foot pain is pretty common, but...it's something that needs to be addressed when it occurs or it can lead to a host of other problems (hips, back, quads, etc.).
Check it out here
BTW -- a Morton's Toe is when your second toe is longer than your first "big" toe. It's actually a fairly common abnormality and is not especially bothersome to most people. Except that, when running, it's those little toes that take the brunt of the force of your foot hitting the front of your shoe as you run. So, they typically become (as mine are) calloused and yellow.
Sometimes the nails even come off -- which is a really attractive look for summer sandal season. :-( Good thing I'll be done with all this marathon business before June.
