Since all my usual running partners are out of town this weekend, I'm facing a 20 mile run all by my lonesome. Due to a bunch of other commitments and the lack of a sitter that day, I can't even work it out so that the hubby can join me for 10 of those miles.
So, it will be just me and my iPod. I've been loading new music onto it all day -- good thing my computer can multi-task.
I seriously thought of altering my schedule to make this my fall-back week and run the 12-miler I've got coming up next Saturday this Saturday, but...a glance at the family calendar shows that I may be in more need of a short run next week because of all the Easter Egg hunts and activities we having scheduled that day.
I've mapped out a route along the bayfront connector trail that I'm kind of excited about. Should offer some nice hills, a decent running surface (asphalt), safety (traffic on the connector) and stores where I can make a pit stop and/or buy gatorade.
Here's hoping all this 80s Hair Band music can keep me moving for 20 miles.
