New shoes, part 2

I ordered new shoes (again) Sunday. Though I love my pink and silver Saucony (Cohesion) shoes -- they are just not the right running shoe for me.

Let me be honest, I bought them because:
1.) They were cute -- I mean, they're pink...much better than the orange, yellow and blue they're usually trying to sell women.
2.) I'm cheap -- they were $50 as opposed to $75 or more for everything else.

I knew the moment they arrived that they weren't cushioned enough for me and they felt heavy, but I wore them anyway -- just before that whole injury thing -- and now I'm gun shy about running in them again. They're fine for walking and going to the store, but, for running, I'm used to a plusher ride.

So, I bit the bullet (or, rather, pried the credit card out of my wallet) on Sunday and bought some Saucony Trigon's -- last year's model so they were on "sale" for $70.

I buy shoes two at a time so that I can rotate shoes since I often run consecutive days. So I spent $150 for the shoes. Add in the $110 spent on the shoes I can no longer run in and, well, that was one expensive lesson.

The bottom line: When you find a shoe that works for you -- stick with it -- even if it's yellow or orange or blue, or worse, lime green.
