Most of the treadmills I've bought (I've been through a few) have had built-in "programs." I've honestly never paid much attention to them. I guess I figured I knew more what I needed to do than they did and the fact that they are 30-minute programs is just annoying. Who works out for just 30 minutes?
But, this Saturday, the husband was off hunting, I was stuck on the treadmill as the kids slept and I decided to cycle through and see what these programs were all about. I found one that looked interesting -- maxed out at 6.5 mph (about 1.5 less than I max out at), but the incline when up to 10.0. Hmmmm...so, of course, I had to try it.
Aside from the annoyingly slow warm-up and cool-down, it was kind of fun to do something different. I just wish the programs went to higher speeds.
I did notice that you could "design your own programs" online and download them to an SD card that fits into the treadmill.
Maybe this winter treadmill season won't be so boring after all.
