Summer Group Runs Begin in April

The Erie Runners Club had a notice in the March newsletter that group runs will begin in April.

Tuesdays -- track/speed workouts. Meet at Nature Center at Presque Isle. Warm-ups at 5:30 p.m. Run at 6 p.m. These speed workouts are geared to help ANYONE improve. They are not just for elite runners. And, trust me...you go to these workouts & you will improve.

Sundays -- trail run. Meet at Asbury Woods barn -- first group begins at 7 a.m., a second run begins at 8 a.m. for late-comers. Multiple distances at a variety of paces (i.e. whatever pace you run and however far you want to run..there will be someone to run with you).

The ERC will once again be sponsoring Barb Filutze's Beginning Run/Walk Training Program at Presque Isle on Monday nights beginning June 23rd.

ALL of these events are free and you don't need to be an ERC member to participate. Just show in running gear, introduce yourself to the other folks standing around in running gear and make some new friends.

Julie DeJarnette:

Hi!
My family and I are moving from Georgia to Erie at the end of May beginning of June. I am a native of Erie, and started running in high school at the Villa, and over 30 years later I still run. I would love to join all of you once we get settled. Thanks.
