If you're going to run outdoors in the summer -- regardless of whether it ever warms up or not -- if it's sunny, you need to use sunscreen.
I hate running with the sun on my face. I feel like I can feel my skin aging as the rays beat down on me. So, I avoid running in sun as much as possible. You'll rarely see me running after 9 a.m. in the summer months -- and even then I wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
I'm experimented with several sunscreens. I don't really think there is one that doesn't run once you sweat and, therefore, sting your eyes. I tried several of the "sport" brand sunscreens, but...alas, just like all the others, they melt when sweat meets the sun.
Lately, I've been using a sunscreen that's made especially for the face, but...again (sigh)...I'm not impressed.
So, I was thrilled to stumble upon this discussion on Runner's World about sunscreen. They recommend several products and...one duh-why-didn't-I-think-of-that-tip: Don't put sunscreen on your forehead (wear a hat) and it won't run into your eyes!
