Why do you marathon?

I promised some insight into why others marathon and I dug up a few articles (click on "continue reading" below).

I'd love, however, for readers who have done a marathon -- to chime in and tell us WHY they chose to do one and if they have done more than one...how they got to that start line again.

If you're one of those who loves to do marathons -- please...enlighten us all! Post a comment below or email me directly & I'll post it for you.

John "The Penquin" Bingham's take on the marathon from the back of the pack.

Find out why Lance Armstrong -- cyclist extraordinaire was intrigued by the marathon.

Here's an interesting article from Runner's World magazine by Paula Brook that lays out the truth about the marathon experience.
