Marathon Sunday

Looks like we may have another soggy Presque Isle Marathon on Sunday, but baring an outright downpour, rain isn't such a bad thing to have during a distance run. Though...it can cause big problems if your feet/shoes get wet!

I'm doing the 1/2 -- it's a distance I love -- a challenge, but not as emotionally and physically brutal as the whole marathon.

Best of luck to all of you who are participating -- remember, if at all possible, to pick up your packet (including your chip) at the Rotary Pavilion on Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. This means on race day morning...all you have to do is be at the start line with a chip on your shoe.

And..word to the wise...get there early. This is not a race you want to arrive late for (trust me) -- there are TONS of people there (not just runners, but family and friends of runners...support crews, etc.), park traffic is down to one lane and you need to get all the way to the Rotary Pavilion. Last year, I barely made it to the start in time. I ended up parking at the Ranger Station and sprinting to the start line, arriving just as they were finishing the National Anthem.
