To stretch or not to stretch

There's an interesting discussion at Active Runner about stretching before a run.

Do you stretch before you run? The latest wisdom on stretching before a run is that it's better to warm up with a slow run, then stop & stretch.

That doesn't work for me. I'm not going to stop in the middle of a run and bend over in the street, ya know? So...I think it's better to just stretch after a run.

Only, well...I never do. Call me lazy (though, really...is it fair to call any runner lazy?), but I just don't feel like it and I'd rather spend my 10 minutes making breakfast.

I know I need to stretch, though, because I'm getting old and I have leg muscles so tight that I can't sit on the floor with my legs out in front of me without bending them.

Maybe it will be my running New Year's resolution.
