Know the Lingo: "Recovery" run

A "recovery run" is a run that you'd do the day after a hard or long (or long and hard) run or race.

It's meant to speed recovery by getting the blood flowing to the legs to flush out all the toxins, lactate etc. Recovery runs are always short, but... most importantly, they're done very, very slowly.
