Turkey Trot news

Here's a post from the ERC's Google Group regarding the Trot which is...just a week away...woohoo!

Posted by Jim Lang: "If you haven't already registered for the Turkey Trot, don't drop it in the mail now! It won't be processed for pre-registration and will be held for "day-of" registration. (In other words, you waited too long to get it done. You should have had it in the mail before now).

Active.com is available until midnight Thursday, then there's Packet Pickup on Monday & Wednesday nights.

For those of you who mailed late (and we don't have it yet), your apps will be held at "Day-Of" registration and you'll be in line to register with anyone else who waited. Sorry to have to do that, but it REALLY gets hairy. We promised shirts & sweats to those who registered by the 10th of November, and we can't take a chance of not taking care of those who register early. So those who wait until the last minute are the ones who may miss out."

In case you're wondering...they're expecting a couple thousand people, but....the disposable timing chips they are using this year should really help out with race day morning congestion.

I'll give you a few tips and tricks for a good Turkey Trot next week. (where to park, what to wear, etc.).

P.S. the shirts/sweatshirts this year are yellow...I believe they're a darker harvest yellow.
