Mistletoe Mile - Dec. 21

ETN just received this info from the North East track teams about their 2nd annual Mistletoe Mile to be held on Sun., Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. We missed this race last year, but plan to participate as a family this year -- the girls, 5 & 7, are capable of run/walking a 1-mile course.

Our community is very supportive of our team all year long either by attending our meets, wishing us luck, or running in our Cherry Festival Race. Last year we decided it was time for us to give back to the community that is so good to us. We hosted the First Miller Mistletoe Mile. It was held on the Sunday before Christmas at 7:00 p.m. The night was magical with 120 runners braving the snow and the mood was festive with runners from teams past, families visiting from out of town, carolers, cookies, cocoa, and even a visit from Santa! Our efforts to create an old fashioned memory were successful and we also raised $1000.00. This money was given to our school and the funds were used to purchase boots, shoes, hats, and gloves for students in need.

This year we are planning on hosting our Second Mistletoe Mile on December 21st at 7:00 p.m.. We look forward to another night of memories.
