Mistletoe Mile

After licking our wounds from the Steelers game on Sunday afternoon (damn Titans), we bundled up the kids and ourselves and headed out (in snowpants and boots) to North East to take part in the Mistletoe Mile.

I considered calling the whole thing off before we left -- it was windy and had turned frigid, but...since we'd preregistered and paid, we decided to go. We didn't go more than a few miles on I-90 before things turned ugly (and really, really white). By the time we got to the North East exit, we decided we weren't racing and headed for home (via Route 20...which we thought would be better). It was a loooooong, slow, scary ride home.

We thought there was no one they'd have held the race in Sunday night's conditions, but....alas...they did. And, 75 people (SEVENTY-FIVE people) actually finished it. Kudos to you hardy souls. They deserve a little recognition, so check out the results here.
