This Friday is the deadline for early registration for the Cleveland Marathon. It pays to register early because the price goes up the longer you wait.
It also pays to book a hotel early...because they become scarce (and more pricey) as the date approaches.
I booked yesterday and happened upon a great package deal through the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame web site. I got the hotel, two tickets to the RRHOF and free parking at the hotel ($20 for 24 hours) for $180. Not a bad deal at all.
Here are some nearby hotels and prices I found at expedia.com.
Hampton Inn: (5 blocks away…2 min. walk) $129 - parking $20 (24 hours) - no restaurant
Doubletree (.2 miles) $169 - parking $16 (self parking)
Crowne Plaza (.1 miles - 2 min. from start) $144 - $18-$20 parking
Wyndam (.5 miles away ) $135 - parking $10 (self parking) - $22 valet with in/out privileges
Raddison (.6 miles away from finish/start - 10 min. walk) $116.10 - parking $16 (24 hours)
Holiday Inn Express (.4 miles, 8 minutes) $107 - parking (fee..unspecified). This one's not nearly as nice as the others, but...it's a place to crash.

Heather,
Did you sign up for the marathon or half? I was wondering what training schedule you use, do you always stick with the same ones, use different ones, or create your own? I used Hal Higdon for my first half but not since. Recently I like RW Smart Coach. Just wanted your take. Thanks.
