A traxless run

The thing about our harsh Erie winters is that it makes us truly appreciate sunny days. Sunday and Monday were a gift -- sunshine, virtually no wind and temps soaring into, what, the high 30s and low 40s...it was like spring. People were outside walking, washing their cars, soaking up the sun and balmy temps. :-)

That much-needed thaw helped clear the streets of all the snow and ice (even south of I-90), and I, for one, was thrilled to run Yak Trax free this morning. After a weekend of running (trudging, really) through thick (and often slushy) snow, it was a welcome reprieve.

Hope you all had a chance (or will be taking the opportunity tonight) to enjoy it. You never know how long good footing will last in Erie in February -- run while the runnin' is good (and run even when it's not).
