McLane, Girard girls basketball stars named all-state

General McLane senior Tori Hansen and Girard sophomore Raegan Moore were named today to the Associated Press girls basketball all-state teams.

They were among eight players from District 10 who earned spots on the four-classification team, as selected by a statewide vote of writers and broadcasters.

Jence Rhoads, a Slippery Rock senior, is the Class AAA state player of the year. She averaged 22.3 points per game and scored 2,170 in her career. She's a Vanderbilt recruit.

Hansen was named to the Class AAA second team after averaging 18.1 points, and Moore was named to the Class AA second team. She averaged 15 points.

Also named to the team:

-- Brittany Csatlos, a senior from Sharon, is on the AAA third team. She averaged 16.7 ppg.

-- Sheena Aden, a Lakeview senior who is District 10's career scoring leader, was named to the AAA first team. She averaged 18.3 points and scored 2,392 in her career.

-- Sharpsville senior Casey Gardner was named to the AA third team after averaging 16.5 points.

-- Eisenhower senior Elisha Jones, a 6-foot senior, averaged 16.5 points and was named to the Class A first team.

-- Chloe Stewart, a junior, became Farrell's first all-stater since rejoining District 10. The 5-3 junior averaged 15.2 points and was named to the third team.

Villa Maria, which reached the PIAA Class AA championship game, did not have a player on the team. No Victor averaged more than 11 points per game.
