Tigers' top prospects could have Erie future

The Erie SeaWolves figure to be stocked with at least some of the players noted by Baseball America as the Detroit Tigers' top 10 prospects.

The Jan. 28-Feb. 10 issue of Baseball America features its Top 10 prospects for each American League Central team.

No.1 prospect Rick Porcello, a right-handed pitcher, is expected to start the season at Class A West Michigan or Lakeland. No. 2. Cale Iorg, on of Garth Iorg and nephew of Dane Iorg, is a shortstop expected to open the season in Class A.

Second baseman Scott Sizemore, a .265 batter at West Michigan, could reach Erie. Danny Worth, a shortstop and the No. 7 prospect, went 6-for-14 with four RBIs in a brief appearance with the Wolves in 2007.
