The first game in Erie BayHawks franchise history will be at Fort Wayne, Ind., on Nov. 28, the opening night of the National Basketball Developmental League season.
The BayHawks are an expansion franchise in the 16-team league, which is affiliated with the National Basketball Association. The league's schedule was released today.
After a prolonged swing through the Southwest and West divisions, the BayHawks will make their debut at Tullio Arena on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. against the Iowa Energy, then will host Fort Wayne on Dec. 13-14. Erie and Fort Wayne each are in the Central Division with Dakota, Iowa and Sioux Falls.
Erie's home games in its 50-game schedule will primarily be played Thursday, Saturday and Sundays, with Monday, Wednesday and Friday game dates as well. The BayHawks will host Fort Wayne on Saturday, April 11, the final day of the regular season.
