College connection: Road trips and Buckeyes

An update from College Connection author Jessica Boyle, a soccer player at Allegheny College:

This past weekend we were in Rochester playing at the Rochester Institute of Technology. We lost to John Carroll on Saturday 1-0 and rebounded for a 1-1 tie against Ohio Northern on Sunday.

As this weekend approaches the soccer team is preparing to head to Rochester for a tournament at Nazareth College. On Saturday we play the No. 6 team in the country in William Smith, and on Sunday we play Nazareth.

Road trips are definitely something to look forward to, as they provide excellent team bonding experiences. Team dinners and study sessions allow everyone the chance to relax away from the school and remind us that no matter how much work we plan to get done the reality is that
accomplishing half is something to be proud of. Not to mention there is nothing like getting to hear your teammates talk in their sleep.

The Ohio State Buckeyes play Ohio University this weekend in football. Not to look past OU, but the big USC game is next weekend, so we will definitely be working out a few things and allowing Chris "Beanie" Wells the opportunity to rest.
