Six sporting events to keep you occupied until next week's round of going-out-of-business sales:
1. War at the Shore IV, Tullio Arena, today. This much wrestling in one place is illegal in 17 states and two Canadian provinces. Youth matches start at noon, high schools at 5, plus Gannon vs. Mercyhurst College. Tickets are $10.
2. St. Lawrence at Mercyhurst College women's hockey, 7 p.m. today, 2 p.m. Saturday. The Saints are ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division I. The Lakers are No. 8 after winning seven straight games. Two Saints and three Lakers are on Canada's under-22 national team. This is high-profile sport at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
3. Heisman Trophy award ceremony, 8 p.m. Saturday. Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, the 2007 winner, are the finalists for college football's biggest award. Watch the presentation on ESPN.
4. Fort Wayne Mad Ants at Erie BayHawks, 7 p.m. Saturday. The BayHawks' second-ever game at Tullio Arena will be against the team that beat them in their first-ever game, period.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens, 4:15 p.m., WSEE. Defense, defense, defense.
6. No. 6 Ohio State at No. 17 Edinboro wrestling, 4 p.m. The biggest college dual match in years at McComb Fieldhouse.
