The six goals were a season-high for the Pioneers, who are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. ... Senior froward Bear Trapp and junior winger Erik Boisvert each had two goals in the UConn win, and senior defender Dave Grimson had three assists. ... Senior goalie Stefan Drew is 4-10-3 with a 3.77 goals-against average and aan .892 save percentage. He’s had three games of at least 40 saves, including a career-high 47-save performance in a 2-0 loss to Niagara on Jan. 2. ... Scouting Mercyhurst: The Lakers had defeated Army five straight games before losing 2-1 and 4-3 decisions last week against the Black Knights at West Point, N.Y. ... The second game of that series was telecast live nationally on the CBS College Sports network. ... Tonight will mark Mercyhurst’s first home game since a 6-3 win over Army on Nov. 22. ... Mercyhurst played short-handed last weekend due to injuries to sophomore forward Brandon Coccimiglio and junior defensemen Derek Fisher and Matt Fennell. Coach Rick Gotkin said Coccimiglio is probable for this weekend series, while Fisher and Fennell will remain sidelined indefinitely. ...Sophomore wingers Steve Cameron and Scott Pitt lead the Lakers in scoring with 27 and 22 points, respectively. ...
