Cheryl is a graduate of Brown University, and is currently continuing her education through Mississippi State University's Distance Learning Program. At Brown, Cheryl ran track, and interned at WCAU in Philly.

She enjoys running, working out, reading, and watching movies in her spare time. Cheryl is also excited to start forecasting in Erie just in time for lake effect snow.

We are excited to have her as part of the Storm Team, and we are sure she will be very successful on Erie's only full power digital airwaves!!!!

The most snow to fall in the month of December happened in 1989. That year we had a whopping 66.9" of snow accumulate. That is Five and a half feet of snow in just one month!!!

The least amount of snow to fall in the month of December happened in 1931. That year only 0.2" fell.

With the current set-up, I would say to plan on more snow this December than we had last year.

In the temperature category, the average high for the whole month is 38 with the low at 26. Last year's average high for the month of December was 44, and the low was 32.

The coldest it ever got in December was in 1880. It reached a bone-chilling -11 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest day in December's recorded history was in 1982 when it was 75.

This year, plan on the temperatures to hang right around the average, to just above for the month.
