GULLY WASHER

An impressive thunderstorm, packing heavy rain, blew on shore this morning. While the properties of the storm were not strong enough to warrant a severe thunderstorm warning for Ashtabula or Erie Counties, it did spur a Flood Warning for these two counties.

The National Weather Service's doppler radar in Cleveland estimates nearly three inches of rainfall fro the Conneaut area. Storm Track 4D is estimating just over two. Either way, that is an impressive amount of rainfall to get in about an hour!

The City of Erie certainly was not spared either. Heavy rains are still falling (at the time of this blog posting. Pretty cool how we blog in the thick of it, huh?). More storms are possible today, some of which could have heavy rain, gusty winds, and even hail. Visit the Storm Team's Weather Page for the latest.
