DON'T MESS WITH MOTHER NATURE

>

I am a firm believer that people need to take severe weather more seriously. In the instance above, you see a thrill seeker trying to kite surf during Tropical Storm Fay. Let me tell you, if a storm has no problem ripping the roof off of a house, it will have no problem ripping something off of you!

I feel the same way when I see reporters out in the storm trying to make good video. If the winds are 60-70 miles per hour, you can plan on anything being blown around to be traveling that fast. A street sign at that speed could kill you.

We don't have to worry about any moisture from Fay's leftovers until next week. However, a cold front this weekend could spark up a few storms. Check out the forecast at wsee.tv.

Have a great weekend,

Ray Petelin,
WSEE Storm Team Meteorologist
