Hurricane Gustav has been downgraded to a category 2 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Scale as it approaches the Louisiana coast. This hurricane, although downgraded, is still producing a high storm surge, flooding rains, and damaging winds.

If that were not enough, Tropcial Storm Hanna is brewing in the Turks & Caicos islands, and making an approach on the Bahamas. Hanna could be a category 1 hurricane when it comes on shore later this week in Florida.

There are also some areas in the Atlantic that we are keeping an eye on. These "tropical waves" have the potential to at least organize into a tropical depression in the coming days.
