Wilmington swimmer lone District 10 female finalist for final day of PIAA meet

Caitlin Lehberger of Wilmington will attempt to upset Panther Valley's Allysa Vavra in Saturday night's 100-yard breaststroke final at the PIAA Class AA swimming and diving meet.
Lehberger lived up to her seeding and qualified second with a preliminary time of 1 minute, 6.37 seconds at Bucknell University's Kinney Natatorium. The senior will be the lone female finalist from District 10.
Vavra, bound for the University of Virginia swimmig program, posted the best preliminary time at 1:04.84. If Lehberger can find a way to make up the difference, she would be the district's first swimming champion of any kind since 2003.
