Does heading South to get a jump-start on the baseball or softball season help a high school team?
For the Corry softball team, it did.
The Beavers played four games in Florida and Tennessee this spring before returning home. Corry was 2-2 on its trip.
Since then, the Beavers have gone 4-1. Their only loss was to DuBois, 3-0 on Saturday.
Corry currently leads Region 5 with a 3-0 record.
