Iroquois' Zill moves up in order

If you've been reading the Iroquois softball box scores, you might have noticed that junior catcher Becky Zill has changed her spot in the batting order.

Zill, the 2007 Times-News District 10 Player of the Year, batted in the third spot in the Braves' first two games. But after Zill walked twice against Harbor Creek, Iroquois coach Julie Parker moved her to the leadoff spot. The thought is that teams cannot pitch around her when she leads off the game.

Zill slammed a home run, flew out and grounded out against Villa on Monday. On Tuesday, she was hit by a pitch, walked and was 1-for-2 against Fort LeBoeuf.
