Prep-McDowell rivalry comes to tennis courts

It’s not football.
It’s not basketball.
But it is Cathedral Prep vs. McDowell.
So regardless of the sport — in this case tennis — the matchup is bound to draw interest.
The Ramblers and Trojans will play on McDowell’s courts today at 4 p.m. The best-of-five matches will be the first of two meetings between the rivals in less than a week.
Prep heads to Millcreek Township at 8-0 overall and in Region 2. The Ramblers were not only victorious three times last week, but won every match in straight sets.
McDowell prepared for Prep with Monday’s 5-0 victory at Corry. That left the Trojans 9-1 overall and 7-0 within the region.
The loser won’t have to wait long for the rematch. The Ramblers and Trojans will play Monday at 4 p.m. at the Frontier Park courts.
