Seeking athletes' musical tastes for April 30 Varsity

Capital One asks, “What’s in your wallet?”
I’m asking, “What’s in your iPod?”
What do you listen to before a game?
Is it heavy metal in the locker room for football?
Is it hip-hop prior to warm-up drills for basketball?
How about classical en route to the golf course?
Is it any of these musical genres? Is it none of them?
Music before games — and even during them — has become a given in most sporting events. That includes high school athletics, where players are often seen with an ear piece that blares their favorite music and tunes.
I want to know what they are, and if their psychological effects work, for an April 30 story in Varsity.
If you’d like your share your thoughts, please leave leave a jingle with your name, sport and contact number at 814 870-1614. You can also e-mail me at mike.copper@timesnews.com.
