When the McDowell baseball team traveled to Harmony on Thursday, they expected to play a game against Seneca Valley.
It didn’t happen.
There were no umpires and the Seneca Valley coaches had their team practicing. The coaches said they didn’t know a game was scheduled.
“I confirmed the game with their AD on Tuesday,” McDowell associated athletic director Brian Fuller said. “He said everything was OK.”
The Trojans would like to reschedule the game, but Seneca Valley already has 20 games on its schedule, the maximum allowed by the PIAA.
“We will try to get another game,” Fuller said about filling the opening on McDowell’s schedule.
